Z-guide rods

Question about the z-guide rods.
Looking at knarfishness’s build it seemed that he was using the 8mm rods to build and had some size discrepancy.
Center point to center point between the 8mm is supposed to be 175mm?

It looks as if the bed zmount bracket is bigger and the z mount top and zmount bottom are smaller.

I can always modifiy the top and bottom z mounts to match the bed mount but before I start redrawing anything I just wanted to check.
