My Morgan seems to have 2 different positions that the z-axis homes to. Sometimes it is at exactly the right height. Other times it’s a couple mm too low (plastic doesn’t stick to platform). Have you seen this behavior or know how I could fix it?

      Thanks,

You are using the hall effect sensors, right?

I can do a redesign of the sensor holder to make it slide past in stead of approaching it head-on. It could be that you have some magnetic interference close to the sensor… are there any motor wires passing close by the sensor?

Yes, I’m using the hall effect sensors. There doesn’t appear to be any motor wires nearby. The firmware that senses the endstops is interrupt-driven, not polling, correct? I’m not sure that a slide-past would improve things.

During homing it changes to give priority to the end-stop. It should never be out by more than a couple of milliseconds.

I do not have those issues on my machines, so i can only assume some hardware problem.

I will do a post when I redesign the z end-stop this weekend.
