Would someone please tell me how to troubleshoot a RAMPS 1.4 board? I’m trying to get one stepper motor to turn. The firmware is Marlin. When I send a G28 command in Rep-Host the stepper motor buzzes and holds its position.

      Wouldn’t a “G0 X100 F1000” command make the X-axis motor turn?

The console keeps saying, “Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)”

The error has to do with the thermistors. The machine protects itself against thermistor failures that can at best ruin a print or worse ruin your lab (think burning 3D printer…)

For testing, insert 100k resistors over the thermistor inputs. It should simulate 25deg and allow the machine to accept that everything looks ok.

      On which machine is this?
If Morgan, jogging the X should move both the “X” and “Y” motors.

There is also a very nice RAMPS test that I used to troubleshoot my electronics:

      Faultfinding, and success
