Stepper motors

I’m from the Philippines and I’m planning on building a morgan in w couple of weeks. My question is, can I use 1.8 deg stepper motors instead of the .9 deg ones? Same thing with the high res stepper motor drivers. I haven’t found any source here and if I order from ebay, the taxes would probably be more than the cost of the items and shipping.

If I do use 1.8 deg stepper motors, what would be the effect and is there a workaround?

It is possible to work that way. The only drawback is that the movement resolution would suffer, and that you would probably see ripples on the prints.

The first prints were done in this way, and it was acceptable.
