      Hello,

I am missing the 5v+ headers for the end stops on my RAMPS 1.4 board and I was thinking about using the 5v rail on my power supply and only connecting the signal to the RAMPS.

Is this possible? and if so do I need to run a resistor with it?

I like this solution more rather than soldering headers since it better for cable management to run 5 rather then 9 cables.

      Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I am using the A1101EUA.

Never mind I figurred it out by looking into the RAMPS layout.

I will solder two headers on the + and – on the AUX1 since that one will be unused anyway.

Would it not be possible to just add the headers for the 5v? The holes should be there, and they are spaced in such a way that you could use a 6 pin header and just solder it sideways.

Glad you managed by yourself… Been very busy at the day job recently.

Thanks for the reply 🙂 I got my endstops working, I eventually did solder the 6 headers on my RAMPS, heck, I even soldered all headers that were missing.

Also I did use one wire going to the 5+ and GND of all HAL sensors. (cablemanagement FTW!)

I will also post a new thread with some pictures of my (Dutch) Morgan. Thanks for all the work Quentin!
