Building Morgan in Egypt

i am from Egypt and speak Arabic and English very good and i hope to make reprap morgan 3d printer with cheap price
i dont find any information or any steps to make my printer i will buy this kits an may you help me what is the next step if i success i will make arabic book and articals and video for how to buils your own morgan with arabic language ? and do you think all my morgan will less than 100 usd ??

Hi monamour,

There is a very detailed instruction on its way in the letest edition of the Reprap Magazine, to be released soon. My advice would be to wait for the publication.

The price of a Morgan is still not below 100USD because of the cost of the electric and electronic components, which are unfortunately beyond my control. If sourced directly from China you might approximate the target, especially since you do not need to pay the high shipping charges we do here in South Africa.

Having just completed my build, I can comment, but only about the situation in South Africa (where Quentin also lives):

People have bought printed parts for around USD25, and that sets you well on your way to build the frame and main construction for USD100.

As Quentin said, one of the things making 3D printers more expensive is the control electronics. In my case, the (Arduino Mega) controller, and RAMPS board, was USD100 on its own, and the stepper motors another USD100. Exactly half of the stepper motors price was shipping.

Stepper motor drivers, bearings and power supply can add more than another USD100. So the final price will always depend on what you have available, or can get cheap/for free (like a PC power supply).

And if you have time, it works out cheaper. If you are in a hurry, it will cost money.

All the information you need is already hidden on the site. It is quite impossible for me to give you all the information you need to build a Morgan in one blog post.

The RepRap Magazine has not been released yet. I would wait for that to be released.

The cheapest way to build your morgan is to get a cheap set of printed parts, and then hunt for the cheapest electronics and motors, and then build it yourself.

The Speed depends on what you want to achieve. There are faster machines available, at higher cost. Morgan can deliver high print quality as reasonable cost.

OK may you tell me Morgan speed and can i control in the Morgan speed and what is the fast Morgan or mendelmax ?

and may you tell me the parts i need for Morgan to arrange my self and order so the shipping from china need more waiting time until the reprap magazine published
