Are you supposed to put 2 nuts together on the drive shaft?

In the assembly guide under Drive Shaft Assembly items 13 and 14 are both M8 nuts. I assumed that was for wheel alignment with the motors.

On the reprap.org wiki “RepRap Morgan extended BOM” the “Morgan Arm Drive PSI” pdf only shows 1 nut and RepRap Magazine Issue 3 page 71 only shows 1 nut.

      Thanks!!

Yes, you are right. The extra nut is a spacer, without which you will not reach the hight required to mount the motor as intended and drive a belt on the wheel… I printed a spacer for the lower mount on one machine to make it work, but it is better to put the nut as a spacer.

Another thing we could do is to simply make the drive wheel a bit taller so that the spacer is not required. I think I might do that…

      Thanks for the heads up.
