Just a small note to let everybody know the Morgan release is still on the cards…
Have been really busy with “real” work, and is currently swamped with paperwork relating that work.
Let’s have a online release party! I will release the Morgan plans one week from now, Tuesday 14 May 2013 at the h4h meet, and online.
This past week I did manage to update and tweak a few parts, allowing the option to use any size linear Z guide rails and LMxUU bearings. I will release STL’s for 8mm and 12mm. You can choose how much you want to spend…
Let me get back to work
Awesome!! Congratulations on your success so far. I’m sure you’ll be thrilled to watch Morgan grow and evolve over the coming months. If the Rostock Delta Printers are any clue – you’ll probably see 10 versions of the Morgan developed within 12 months!
Now where can I send you a few $$ to buy you a beer for your efforts? (Yes, I am planning to build a Morgan from a dead Prusa i2)
I’ll post a donation button… Just for you!
Thanks,
Q
It’s there… Use at your own peril!
Cheers,
Quentin
Will be there with a camera – best get ready for your close up 🙂
Great!… There is any way to acquire the plasric parts? Have a waiting list or something?
Depending on where you’re located (I’m in the US), I could print them and ship them for you (once the STL’s have been released of course). I have a Makerbot Replicator that should do a fine job
Hey cassetti – hook me up.
I am in Indianapolis. It would be great to have the plastic parts. Let me know any costs
I am still waiting delivery of my machine.
Thanks.
Sure, email me @ gmail.com
Hi Julio,
I will be putting together some kits soon, but as cassetti said, it may be more cost effective for you to source it through your local hacker space.
That said, you always get things cheaper if you can do it in bulk. We will have more details soon, hopefully on Tuesday.
We’re in the USA too, so we’ll see them.
Thanks to you two
HI..
What size brass tubing are you using for the drive system so I can order some??
Thanks
It is standard 15mm and 22mm Class 1 plumbing pipe. You should be able to get some at your local hardware store.
You would also be able to use stainless tube of the same outer diameter, so you are only limited by your budget…
Cheers,
Quentin.
